Our Vision

GTF is a charitable enterprise headquartered in Castine, Maine, registered as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. GTF’s core operating beliefs are that all human beings should have access to nutritious, fresh food that is attractively presented and that the experience of accessing that food should ideally be a humanizing one, and at the very least not a dehumanizing one, for everyone in our community, regardless of economic circumstance. Our mission is to make those beliefs come to life through our two operating arms—Soil-Less Green and Nominal Wage Farms.

GTF is an all-volunteer organization. Our volunteers do all the farming, processing and packaging. Their hard work allows us to grow and distribute Soil-Less Green produce to our partner organizations free of charge.
